Placement and Career Counseling Cell
The objective of the Placement and Career Counseling Cell of DAV College Bathinda is to identify the potential of students, provide them training according to their strengths and weaknesses and groom them for competitively good companies. The Placement and Career Counseling Cell also formulates and organises activities, foundation courses, workshops, seminars, extension lectures, hands on training sessions, in order to equip the students with the requisites of a globally challenging employment market, thereby preparing them for meeting the expectations of the prospective employer during rigorous placement process.

Eight Students got Placed in the Placement Drive conducted by Career Counselling and Placement Cell of DAV College Bathinda. (9/4/2024)
Career Counselling and Placement Cell of DAV College Bathinda organised a Placement Drive by “IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals” for the students of B.com, B.Sc. and M.Sc.(Chemistry)Classes.
The Placement drive included three rounds; Pre Placement interaction, followed by written examination. The final round in the process of selection was the personal interview of the candidates with the panel.45 Students set foot in the Interview Session after qualifying the Written Exam.
The participants were motivated by the Dean, Career Counselling and Placement Cell, Prof. Meetu S. Wadhwa and the team members. The students participated wholeheartedly and enthusiastically, and Eight Candidates were selected in the Recruitment Drive.
The Principal of the College Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma extolled the efforts of Dean Career Counselling and Placement Cell Prof. Meetu S. Wadhwa, Coordinators of the Placement Drive Dr. Parveen Bala and Prof. Seema Rani, and all the committee members for their contribution in the placement of the students. He congratulated the diligent and well deserving students for their early placement and wished them luck for their future endeavours.
DAV College Bathinda Organizes Lecture on “Road Towards Employment” (1 Sep., 2023)
The Placement and Career Counselling Cell of DAV College Bathinda in collaboration with CSR initiative of Bajaj Finserv organized a lecture on “Road Towards Employment”. The resource person on the occasion was Mr. Kamaljeet, Lead Trainer of Punjab Cluster, CSR Wing, Bajaj Finserv. The esteemed guest was extended a warm welcome by the Principal Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Vice Principal Prof. Parveen Kumar Garg, and Dean Placement and Career Counselling Cell Prof. Meetu Sukheja Wadhwa.
Mr. Kamaljeet delivered an informative lecture to mentor the students and equip them with the prerequisites of the corporate world. The lecture focused on various concepts like Self management, Communication Skills, Retail Marketing and Overview of Insurance. He interacted with the students and informed them about demand chain of the corporate world. He stressed upon the need to develop better communication skills which will lead them to better job opportunities.
Principal Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma thanked Mr. Kamaljeet for sparing his valuable time and interacting with the students. He said that it is the need of the hour in today’s era to keep ourselves updated about the various career options. He was greatly pleased to see the students engage interactively with the resource person.

Due to the unrelenting efforts of the Placement and Career Counseling Cell, Recruitment Drives are organized in which reputed and illustrious companies recruit bright students of the college by conducting rigorous written tests as well as interviews.
